About Steel Soapbox

We are two young professionals living in the NGO world in the D.C. area. We blog under the pseudonyms Carbon and Iron- hence our steel soapbox. We pretty much dedicate our lives to learning about and promoting social justice, environmental sustainability, scientific integrity, (and general peace, love, and happiness). So…we decided we should share some of our insights about world happenings on this blog – and we hope that you will share your comments so we can all have a deeper understanding of important world issues. We are critical and idealistic (this is a soapbox, after-all), but we will try to share stories of hope and progress too. Join in the soapbox!
